Born in 1952 in New Bedford, Massachusetts, USA the son of a Portuguese mother and a Canadian father. He received his BFA in painting in 1975 from the University of Massachusetts. Ron received his MFA in Painting from the University of Miami in 1977 on a full-ride scholarship. Before focusing on his career as an international artist, he was an advertising creative, marketing consultant and an adjunct professor of Marketing. He also taught Art History and Studio Art. Ron Fortier has participated in various group and individual exhibitions in the United States. His work is represented in various private collections. He currently resides in Buarcos, Figueira da Foz on the Silver Coast of the Portuguese mainland. More at: www.ronfortier.net

Works on paper are sent, depending on size, flat in stiff envelope or rolled up in a tube. Single canvases are shipped wrapped in bubble wrap and kraft paper. Multiple canvases (over 70x100cm and more than 9cm in thickness) shipped in wood or cardboard box.
