San Francisco is one of the most favorite cities in the world. The cable cars here are the world’s last permanently operational manually operated cable car system. These historic vehicles are not self-powered; rather they move using a mechanism that grips cables that run beneath San Francisco’s streets. This painting is of a wet landscape scene in the city . ˝Art˝ to me is the result of my journey into self discovery. I always had a passion for painting since childhood. After graduation and Materials management, I worked in the corporate world for a few years. Then we moved to Oxford, UK, due to my family relocation. It was there that I once again took up painting. My artwork selection in a Juried art exhibition in New Jersey and the subsequent sale gave me the confidence to make this my dream profession. I went on to get an Advanced Diploma in Interior Design and also took courses in folk art painting to learn new techniques. I have since been passionately creating vibrant artwork which give me immense satisfaction. It is my good fortune to get the opportunity to live in UK, USA, India and Singapore. My art is inspired by all these places. I truly believe in the quote Creativity takes courage!- Henry Matisse. I paint from my heart and each artwork has a part of my soul. Some of my achievements : Painting ’A Rainy Day’ being selected by American Musician Frank Bango as front cover for his music album released in New York. Paintings have been collected world over and satisfied buyers returning to collect multiple paintings over a period of time. It is their encouragement and positive testimonials that has kept me painting more and making this my profession and life. United Nations had selected my painting -’Manthan-Gujarat Women Empowered’ for their UN Expo in Milan 2015. I have successfully exhibited in countries including USA,France(Paris), Italy,Singapore and India. I also take commission work. So feel free to contact me for that special piece of artwork as per your requirement. My medium is Acrylic paint and sometimes watercolor. I truly believe, follow your passion and success shall follow :)
