Yadira’s mask

by Bedda Narrett

€ 373

Based on my photo, which I made on my amazing trip in Mexico. The Girl (Yadira) was playing with a traditional Yaqui mask, so I ask her to pose for me in her three striped trainers. For me this artpiece expresses the funny meeting of ancient tribal culture, and contemporary native people. Also the base texile of the painting is a part of one of my previous series where I used recycled dresses with photo based paintings. Made in 2013

Style: Figurative

Acrylic on Textiles

Dimension: 30 cm x 40 cm

Since my childhood I had a strong affection for visal arts, since the first child drawings, to the teenagerhood graffity years, I have been a littlebit obsessed by creating art. Although all stages had different ways and expressions, I ended up studying as a professional painter at the Hungarian Art University, and this love wont stop here, its changing and growning throughout the years.
