Freddie Quintana

Hi, my name is Freddie Quintana, I am a German-American and I have been living near Würzburg, Germany since 1993. I have loved art in all its different ways since I was 18. That is the reason why I studied Advertising Design at the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. There I learned how to use and create Graphic Design in different ways. For the last couple of years I have been thinking about turning my passion for painting into a full time job and at the end of 2015 I finally did. Since then I have worked as a freelance artist. My art speaks for itself. I get my inspiration from my three favorite artists: Jackson Pollock, Friedensreich Hundertwasser and Gerhard Richter. I use Pollock’s drip technique, Hundertwasser’s style, Richter’s paint textures and also a variety of different media such as duct tape, deco patch paper and cut out paper which can be employed in different ways. With all these techniques I have created pieces of art, which are open for interpretation. I feel that a painting should be a canvas for your imagination, so that you can create a story of your own.
